What is the best type of food for people with high cholesterol?

I am 35 years old and I weight 80KGS and have very high Cholesterol I need to know what is the best type of food for me!

Minimize fried foods.
Chicken, fish, lean pork.
Don’t over do it with red meat (beef).

Whole grains are good. Oatmeal and oat based cereals (such as Cheerios) can lower your values.

Weight loss & exercise are also big helps.


There is foods and supplements you can take to reverse/ lower cholesterol and reverse bad cholesterol! Some foods are blueberries and red grapes, beets, onions, apples, almonds, oats. Some great super foods include chlorella, spirulina, sea vegetables, soy products such as soy milk, soy cheese, or tofu, any sprouts, such as wheat grass, broccoli sprouts, barley grass or clover sprouts, and also the super grains such as quinoa, millet, and kamut. Garlic is also KNOWN to lower cholesterol levels. Wash it all down with some green tea.

Supplements include: Ginseng, Alfalfa, Dandelion, Cod liver oil, Kelp, Vitamin C, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B3, Co Enzyme Q10, Chromium, Calcium, Niacin, Acidophilus, Linoleic acid, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Magnesium.

For surly this is a lot of things but if you do start with this lifestyle and incorporate a Mediterranean diet into it (I will show you the links for this) you will be lean and healthy. As long as you stick to it. Avoiding additives, packaged foods, salts, sugars, and only eating whole foods. Keep active and drink more water. Avoiding all pharmaceuticals is the best route to take. It is also a lot of food and supplements to buy. The most important ones are Vitamins B,C,D, Chromium, Calcium and Magnesium, Niacin. Important foods are Garlic, Onions, Sea Vegetables, Blueberries, Red grapes.
