OSHO: Emotional Wellness - Almost Drunk With Emotion

OSHO International Foundation - www.osho.com Emotions that we don’t know how to handle effectively lie at the core of so many difficulties in the life of the individual. They play a profound role in how we feel about ourselves, and can even affect our physical health. Expressing our emotions can often hurt others, but by repressing them — even in the benevolent guise of “self-control” — we risk hurting ourselves. Osho offers a third alternative, which is to understand the roots of our emotions and to develop the knack of watching them and learning from them. Osho’s unique insights into emotions, the workings of the mind, and the “being” of the individual go far beyond the understandings of conventional psychology. 03:51- Goes for love, fear, anger and joy… and any other emotion.
When this happens, don´t act. Just savour the moment. For instance; though very overwhelming, an orgasm isn´t so bad, right? ^^
I understand and accept fully what you teach us to unlearn the screwed up way society is teaching - i am here to unlearn to learn from you……brilliant! Wish you were alive - i am your biggest fan!

osho if u were alive i would definately had wine with u man.
Thank you OSHO
I agree. Develop an emotional vocabulary, acknowledge that emotions are transitory. Consider that emotions are a prelude to good decision making and express them freely. The distinction being in expressing emotions we can identify which of the myriad emotions it is we are feeling at that time, where it’s genus lays, releasing said emotion and cracking on with some informed decision making.
@zenperspective, don’t be in a hurry to jump to conclusions about osho. Be patient … u will find he contradicts himself time n again. Coz he’s really not interested in forming any school of thought. he wants us to seek the silence within.
its too bad you clearly dont understand osho. the book they are advertising at the beginning of this video is by osho and its all about transcending emtions into creative energy
there is negative emotions. emotions which take away from your life is a negative emotion - quite simply. when you feel stressed and the day is going so quick and so horrible, all you want to do is get to bed but then you’re attacked by your jealousy at night so you cannot sleep. This is negative emotion, the only emotion you should have as the undertone of all emotion is bliss. once you have bliss, you can recognize all the pain in the world and know how to fix it. like the vision of a sculptor
This is very interesting, and odd. I can’t say I agree with this totally. I think to be totally integrated one would want to feel a sense of harmony between the emotions and the intellect.
Regarding evolution, I think that, as things are right now, emotions are just as necessary as the intellect, but we would not want to make ourselves slaves to either. We have the innate ability to regulate both at will, and we should exercise it.
seek and find yourself before you seek to find someone else.
you are so sttupid.
The only answer I can offer to you,is that you have surely not understand what osho meant by his words…Maybe some day, after some months, years or lifetimes when your mind will be more wide-open,you will be able to understand Osho’s Enlightened Words…
@zenperspective it could be argued that you are the one who does not understand emotions at all. Emotions are the primitive compass of evolved beings. In the absence of any cultural, rational, moral or ethical references, they serve as a basic reference of good & bad, harmful & unharmful. They used to be handy tools a few hundreds of thousand of years ago for the primitive man, just as they serve any animal today. But the awakened ones have transcended them by developing more advanced consciousnesses.
he is right … this is so true …
Children are born emotionless and thats why kids are bluntly honest until society starts to push all different types of conditioning and to simplify the subject matter we can call it brain filth and what OSHO is trying to do is to brain wash your thoughts so that you can remove the filth that the conditioning of society has deposited within your mind. Its not the shackles of the body we must fear but the shackles of mind. Mr Anderson or Neo would u like the Red pill or the blue pill?
It’s too bad Osho didn’t understand emotions at all. “Emotions blind men exactly as alcohol.” Such a common misunderstanding that emotions can be managed and transcended like thoughts. When your paradigm makes consciousness primary, this is the result and thousands of people suffer from his lack of insight. We are emotional beings first. Emotions are the life breath of our soul. We need to free up feeling and expressing them, not negativize them. There is No Such Thing as a Negative Emotion.
well.. emotions are beautiful too. if they’re not preval? in you of course..
there are a lot of meditation techniques involving solely emotions. its his personal point of view..
hiding emotions may be a defence cover for a lot of people.. perhaps like me.. and it helped me a lot.. in some ways.. but his words are not the last resort truth. emotions are very important, you should try to not hide them. well, its my reflections on the subject.
Che occhi!..
Love is not an addiction its a compass to true meaningfulness in life, it is a symptom of finding ones true purpose and healthy honest desire in spite of others afflicted selves pushing you into unaware mind states. Take refuge in OSHO’s words he trancends mundane thinking .
So much true.
