@fusionfpdoylestown: Yep, you are right on about having to eat a little carbs once in a while, I know I do. But I find the longer I go on with a ketogenic diet, the less I have to eat that small amount of carbs. And when I do eat carbs, they taste strangely sweet. Ciao!

Thanks for your comments ‘tickyul’. The ketogenic diet works well for a lot of people. Depending on the person though, once you get too far into ketosis, body-comp progress ceases, energy goes down and people just don’t feel ‘right’. When that happens it is VERY important to eat a little carbs for a day or two to refill glycogen stores so your physiology and your hormonal profile can re-set and begin to work at maximum again. Thanks again!

Some of things I have observed while following a high fat/low carb diet: The higher the ketosis (within reason, I am non diabetic so dka is not a problem)=the better I feel, less hunger, better sense of well being, more energy, less cravings, to name a few. I have heard people say that if they are in ketosis, the level does not matter, that is definitely NOT the case for me. The ketogenic diet for me is hard at first, it takes me about 3 weeks just to feel normal. I also limit water & protein.

That would be a real shame if that were true… but it wouldn’t surprise me! Thanks for the comment miketonon…

Those organizations probably knew that. Its called job security.
