Dr Whiting on Natural Thyroid Support and Thyroid Function

Under-active thyroid or hypothyroid has become a very common occurrence in society. It is estimated that as many as 5% of the population have a hypothyroid condition and as many as another 5% may be borderline low thyroid. Of all of these people, 80% or 8 out of 10 are women. While we dont know exactly why this is completely, but we do know that hypothyroid is both genetic and hereditary, meaning that it is often passed from one generation to the other, mostly on the maternal side of the bloodlines. In fact, if you are female, and have other females in your family line such as mother, sisters, aunts, grandmother, etc., who have had hypothyroid; your chances are much higher that you too, will develop this condition some time in your life. Hypothyroid or low thyroid can produce a wide variety of symptoms. The most common include Depression, Poor Circulation, Poor Stamina, Low Energy, Dry Hair, Dry Skin, High Cholesterol, Brain Fog, Digestive Disorders, Weight Gain and many others. Since the symptoms of hypothyroid can also be those of other disorders, diagnosing hypothyroid can be elusive. Since the thyroid gland is linked with many other glands and glandular systems within the body, when the thyroid is not functioning properly it can affect other glands and their function as well. One of the main functions of the thyroid is to produce thyroxin or thyroid hormone. This chemical, while performing many functions, is primarily the regulator of the metabolism. A sluggish or …

wow, i didnt know alot of this stuff, i take levothroxine and i still feel so tired all the time i get bad headaches i cant lose weight and i am so frusterated, my dr keeps telling me my thyroid levels are fine and theres nothing they can do….
Bromine is a halogen that also is effecting our thyroid function. Thanks for this video. It is informative.
it is Rat Poison!
I am not sure why thyroid medications do not work for you…. Our supplement contains no thyroid hormone but offers nutritional support to help the thyroid function beeter as well as help the bodyto better absorb thyroid hormone taken by mouth.
How does this compare with Thyromine which I am currently taking but can only take a half a pill or I get major headaches. My blood tests showed I have hypothyroidism pretty bad and I come from a family history of it on both sides. I’ve tried many different medications including armour and they don’t work and in fact, they make my health worse. This has been a battle over many years…. :(
thankyou

And I’ve always been a relatively solid meat eater, so no low iron/ferritin levels I’m pretty certain of. No low B12 levels, even though my doctor gave me a 1mg B12 supplement. No stress in my life ever. I just finished up grad school. Never really stressed in my life. Much less no chronic stress. I sleep plenty each night. Pretty certain no adrenal fatigue. I did notice that since starting Nature-Throid, I’ve had more energy running and I’ve gone to sleep earlier and woken up earlier.
Perhaps teling, my temperatures over the last few months have ranged from 95.8 to 97.2, but nothing over that amount. Typically I’m around 96.7 in the afternoon. Like right now. I have interviews and what not coming up in the next few weeks, and getting my personality back is crucial. I don’t want to push the limit, but I really want to step up to one grain pretty soon. I’ve read that most people don’t rid of their symptoms until on about three grains or so. Thoughts?
You have to check with your physician regarding Hashimotos. Flouride has been proven to reduce Thyroid function in many people. You should consider filtering your water.
Hi,
I have Hashimotos and wondering if
thy-rox is still recommended ?
Also, something interesting or maybe coincidence. My local government has introduced flouride into the water supply over the last 6 months.. I have been feeling gradually worse ever since..
My dr gave me a perscription to try today-synthroid. I have mild hashimotos he said but normal tsh. so he said it would be a small dose to see. But came home and looked it up on line and it said hair loss can occur
The condition responds differently in different people. Since you have an autoimmune condition, it should be closely monitored by a physician that specilized in autoimmunity and its effects on the body. You questions should be addressed to such a medical professional. Thank you.
I am now on T3 only meds, as T4 left me in a constant state of toxicity, I felt poisoned the whole time I was on Levothyroxine,
I then gave Armour only,a shot, an improvement but every time I reached a therapeutic dose the T4 would build up, up from the Armour, first week good, then the T4 would build up and I would hit a wall. I have myxedema in my whole body, face is very painful.Hashimoto’s is ruining my life, I am a 34yr old man, how long does it take on meds to clear myxedema? Please reply Dr.
You’re a life saver !
There are several nature thyroid meds on the market under different names. Check with your pharmacist as to which ones they carry.

i had my thyroid removed 5 yrs ago and could not take the synthic drugs-hair loss and tired all the time-now i can not find armor anymore- is the FDA responsible for this? if so what can we do about the FDA
Great info.
Have you read my new book Healthy Living Made Easy. It available at many Curves Fitness Centers
Armour is the best, especially if taken with a nutrient support formula for better absorption. We suggest thyrox from Phoenix Nutritionals.

can anyone tell me what works good, armour or thyromine?
When is the swine flu video coming?
I’m not in the US right now but rather a Third World country for another month, but this problem I’m having with my oratory skills/speaking is killin’ me (figurtively). I’ve been on a high potency iodine supplement for 10 weeks but I’m not back to normal. Sometimes I speak better and some days I don’t. I have delved through the internet and cannot find anything related to exessive consumption of soy as much as me (2 cartons/day) for nine months causing hypothyroidism.
I have hypothyroidism caused by heavy, heavy soy consumption over nine months. I have been experiencing cognitive dysfunction in the form of stumbling over words and loss of fluidity when speaking. If I take Armour, how soon before I see results? I would call but I’m overseas!
